Map Update for 2014
 

Anyone have experience installing the 2014 map update successfully?

Was wondering about map updates and called Honda Nav Center and was told one was out, April 2014 release date (Brown DVD, V.12.000.0, U.S.). Ordered disc and tried to install it, got message "Reading Disc", then "No Data".

Customer service asked if car was "running", said no (in Accessory mode), was told to try again. Tried again with running and had exactly the same results.

Now they want me to return disc at "my" expense before they'll send another one out? Since these are coded to vehicle really wondering about this step. Civic hybrid never had any issue with updates, am I doing this correctly? They say just insert it (DVD) and follow instructions, never got that far....

Any tricks, or do I just have a "bad" disc? Will return disc, and update w/outcome.....

As for the the car...

Bought my 2014 HAH Touring in March (approaching 6,000 miles) and am getting the mileage as advertised, or slightly better. Temps in the 90's my location and running in Eco Mode no problem with mileage/range. This car absolutely beats the socks off my 2009 Civic hybrid!!

Been great so far, except for this pesky Nav update issue.....
