600 club
It should be fairly easy to get 600 miles from a single tank of fuel (13.2g), which equates to about 46mpg.
Post a picture of your odometer if you get it. |
Re: 600 club
Ok I'll bite. 600 seems much more reasonable if you are like myself - meaning I frown upon drawing down the tank to the very bottom . . . for a lot of reasons.
If you like to leave about a couple gallons in there - say use 11 gal @ 50 MPG = 550 or so |

Done.
615 miles, 10.7 gallons. 57mpg. I still had more than 2 gallons left in the tank... 90% highway, but traffic makes me drive between 40 to 60 mph most of the time. Attachment 2304 |

Re: 600 club
I live in Boston, so not exactly mountainous but not really flat either. It's 60% highway, 25miles each way daily, and traffic forces me to drive around the speed limit most of the time. About 20% is stop and go mostly because of traffic on the highway and the other 20% is local highways at 45mph.
I'll admit that I've been babying this car lately. Not only because it's new, but I want to see how much I can get from it. I think I could have gotten 700 miles from that tank, but I only got 600 because my wife took the car for a drive twice :-p |
