Left hand language and acronyms

Pardon if there is already a thread for this, but I could not find it.

Is there a thread that explains all the secret codes?

How do you expect new people to understand what you are talking about when you use abreviations like DWL, DWB, iFCD,or an ICE?

Re: Left hand language and acronyms

Probably not, you just kinda learn as you go along... the ones you used there:
DWL: Driving With the Load... using constant engine power (not moving your foot) as you go up and down hills. As you go up, you lose speed, and going down you gain.
DWB: Driving Without Brakes... pretending your brakes have failed, and that all you have to stop yourself is the engine regen during coasting. Means leaving lots of space between you and the car in front of you, and not going as fast as everybody else in the HOV lane.
iFCD: Instantaneous Fuel Consumption Display... the nifty mpg meter on the top left of the dash that tells you how craptacular your driving really is.
ICE: Internal Combustion Engine... what every car out there with the exception of the Honda FCX, Tesla Roadster, and DeLorean w/ Flux Capacitor mod uses as the primary drive system.

Thx chris. I was wondering what a couple of those were as well. If anyone else has any, please share.

I've found this post explains alot of the vocabulary that hypermilers use, section III in particular.
