Cleaning the engine compartment
I never cleaned the engine compartment. And it is dirty. Will there be a problem using a car wash power hose or even a regular garden house to spray it down?
Ive done it with other non hybrid cars but since we are dealing with more electricity and cables, I wanted to know anyone's experience. In case, I would like to sell and maintain a clean car inside and out. |
Re: Cleaning the engine compartment
I clean it the same as any engine compartment:
Hose it down with engine cleaner. Switch to power rinse. Rinse with full power but keep nozzle 4-6 feet from target. Typically with trigger released, there is still a noteworthy spray. I use this mode to get into the tighter areas. Switch to spot free rinse, which is much lower pressure, and aggressively rinse with this mode. |
