2010 with 18k and bad battery
I have a 2010 Honda Civic hybrid with about 18k miles on it. A few day ago I noticed the battery indicator was staying at about 1 bar. But the car drove fine, then the next day the IMA light came on. Took it to the dealer and they check the codes and said there was a new software update and that should take care of the problem. The next day the light came back on, so we took it back in and was told they need to replace the battery. It under warranty so there is no charge but when I pick up the car I hope I can get a answer why the battery failed. However the people at the dealership, who are very nice, are a bit too nice and I not sure if I am getting a straight answer.
Because I live in California I should not have to worry about paying for a battery for 10 years or 150K. Is that true or is that just for the battery and not the labor?
