Where is filler of transmission oil, HCH 2004

I know there is a great post previously; but it doesn't show pictures, so I still don't understand where the filler is.

When I changed my engine oil, I could see where the drain plug is. However, I still cannot find the filler for transmission oil on civic hybrid 2004. Could you please indicate where I can fill and how to fill it? I hope changing doesn't require any special tools...

Thank you.

I'm going to assume you have a CVT. If it's a manual I have no idea.

The "filler" is at the right side and to the rear of the engine compartment. Get a flashlight and shine it down in there. You will see a bolt with "ATF" stamped on it. That's the filler. Crack that open and be prepared for it to be stubborn.

Under the car (after you remove that pesky plastic plate) towards the back of the tranny you won't find a drain bolt, but rather a drain plug which requires a 3/8 drive socket I think.

Open that and just let her drain. Close back up and add about 4 quarts of, now this is important, HONDA CVT FLUID through the top filler area. Just use a long funnel.

That's it. You're done.

On my 2006 HCH2 I fill the CVT thru the dip-stick hole. I use a 1/2" rubber hose 12" long and a small funnel.Works like a charm. H
