Forced Auto-Stop??
Afternoon People,
small question. I noticed the other day when 'coasting' that if I kept my clutch in the ICE stays in auto-stop mode, I got upto 40mph before I needed to stop at the lights at the bottom of the hill. My question is, does coasting for this kind of distance or speed in 'forced' auto-stop damage or wear out any mechanical parts? Just that now I figured out it does this I seem to be doing it without realising now, down hills...weeee...sneaky silent mode!! (oh and I am aware that holding in the clutch places tremendous strain on the clutch release bearings, diy mechanic hee hee). L |
Re: Forced Auto-Stop??
I would not think so! I should work like that as that is the reason for auto-stop. Nothing comming from the exhaust. MT has it advantages?
