Yes, IPU = intelligent power unit = everything inside the cavity behind the rear seat back. IPU cover is the large sheet metal piece that covers the IPU with a dozen torx bolts.

To correct your perception, having the safety switch cover off would allow air to SUCK in through that opening instead of being sucked in from the upper deck and through the battery.

I kinda doubt that would be sufficient to cause 73, particularly with the cooler weather, but it's worth trying.

Ok, its back on. I left the back seat pulled away to hear the fan run. So far, I'm getting nothing. Is there a safe place to apply 12 volts to run it? Say like a relay location? I'd like to have it run for a few minutes to check for air flow and leaks as well as hopefully cool this pack down.

Alright, I'm assuming there's no step by step picture guides to this process (forcing the fan on) as I havent been able to locate any so far.
