Will Battery Charger/Discharger help a good battery last longer?

Quick question is whether a battery charger/discharger kit can help a 5 yr old GM new at the time battery last longer. No issues with battery, just whether it can help by balancing and cycling battery pack or do more harm than good?
Thank you for your thoughts.

Unnecessary charging/discharging is detrimental. There needs to be some evidence of uniform battery deterioration.

If you can do a discharge test with torque, and you observe the SoC change to a steeper slope as seen here:

then a charge/discharge may be beneficial. Also important that the delta V be reasonably low. This was done under aggressive discharge currents, so it's higher than a typical relatively constant current discharge.

Under no circumstances should charging be done without active battery cooling.
