Re: what are gas prices at for you?
Gas is the lowest at a BP here in Long island, NY @ $3.17 for Reg. Most other stations are at $3.39 and up.
I ordered a Prius about 2 weeks ago and really cant wait. My dealer told me 8-12 weeks, I asked him how realisic that was? He said very real. and most likely it will be an 2006.

Here in Lubbock I filled up yesterday at $2.969, with most stations being $2.999. It may have gone down some today, but I haven't been out to see for myself.
Prices are for regular.

S. Jersey, Blackwood area, it's $3.09-$3.49 Gal Regular UnLeaded.
Most at $3.19 and one station in Turnersville at $3.00 even.
Yesterday I saw (5) that did not have gas and long lines at a lot of others.
Just a note, if anyone watches the Weather Channel or CNN News. . .
A station can't change it's price more than 1 time in a 24 hour period.
If they do, the Feds want to know.
Toll free number is on both channels.
Also, Sunoco CEO was askey why prices on East coast were rising, since we don't get crude from Gulf Coast, and it is refined locally.
Answer was. . .they were just following 'Market Trend'.
Guess that means "we got it, you need it and we can charge whatever we want"

Just a note on gas prices: Did you all know that from 1984 to 2000 it took 16 years to move from $1.00 per gallon to $1.50? From 2000 to 2005 it took only 5 1/2 years to move from $1.50 to $3.50 or $4.00! Oddly coincides with a certain GOP business-friendly leadership? I don't want to get political but I did find it completely ODD that the prices skyrocketed like never before in our history. The jump in the 70's wasn't even as steep as now. Yet, people are still buying their SUV's and HUMMERS? I can't understand that. At these gas prices you practically have to take a 2nd mortgage out to fill one of those tanks - each week!

Re: what are gas prices at for you?
What was it from 1991-1999? I'd like to see a graph over time. Also, when did the SUVs start becoming popluar? That might have had something to do with an increase in prices.
I realy don't know if its related or anything. I can't think of anything that would have caused the prices to rise based on any legistation passed in this administration though. In fact I would think if some of the legislation was passed it might have dropped (anwar (sp?) drilling).
I realy think that the gas prices rising is related to more forces than just who is in office. He may have some blame (I don't know how but I won't rule it out) but I don't think its as significant as other forces. Just imagine if gore would have been elected. Most of his money was in oil I think.
As long as you live in america you have to deal with the fact corporations are out to make money and don't care at all about you. You will be much happier once you embrace this fact.

Re: what are gas prices at for you?
Good point but minus Katrina and we were still looking at $2.67 reg down here, and that was better than many.
Gas has risen disproportionately higher than the national inflation rate in the last 5 years. Not saying that's due to a Republican administration, just stating a fact. Up to the individual to interpret.

Yeah everyone knows the Republican platform is anti-business. Since high fuel prices are bad for business, that fits into the Republican ideals of destroying business and commerce.
