Can some one do a scan and see if any codes exist? Are there any abnormal symptoms with the vehicle other than the light?

Be mindful that Ford uses many proprietary codes that the typical consumers' scan tools are incapable of reading.

the wrench is not on yet---if you initially drive without this warning light on a regular basis, then it could indicate an overheating issue e related to the......MECS pump?-blend door?-hybrid battery pack fans?-other

I know I need to replace the rear battery filter but I don't think could be it.

When I first got my '05 a year ago, the wrench light came on while driving home from the dealer. Then it cleared itself when the vehicle was shut off. This happened several times over the next week or so. I never saw any other symptoms to indicate what might be wrong. Clues from the great users on this board led me to believe it was probably the blend door actuator for the rear/hybrid battery cooling air. Since it was only ~ $20 and there were pictures available showing where it was and how to change it, I figured I didn't have much to lose. Never had a wrench light since then. :D

Almost certainly the rear blend door motor.

I agree. My warning light also illuminated a couple times but ICE never shut off. I replaced the actuator months ago and haven't seen the warning since.
FYI, I've heard of people leaving that actuator bolt closest to the vehicle quarter panel out to ease replacement in the future. I should've done that also, but didn't think about it till after I'd already completed the work.
