What a DEAL!!
 

I started researching the FEH in October 08, at that time there was only one in the El Paso area. We couldn't get financing, and we were bummed.

Here we are in July 09, and we decided to try again. We found a dealer with 6 '09's on the lot, after looking at the models, none had the options that we really wanted (nav/moonroof/leather/heated seats). Now before you say you live in El Paso why heated seats? Well because we are from Colorado and plan on moving back there in a few years.

After looking at the models available we thought we would have to order one and wait it out (financing has been preliminarly approved, by private lender). I remembered the other dealer with the one '08, looked them up on the internet and low and behold that same one is there. It had all the options we were looking for. We verified that it was still there and drove the 15 miles to the dealership, in our '01 escort trade-in, to take a test drive. After we drove it for a few miles, we started talking deal with the salesman in the backseat. The dealer let us take it home over July 4th weekend.

Well one week later and after a few visits back to the dealer and a couple visits to other dealerships, we drove home in our new '08 FEH. So far we are loving this vehicle, after 400 miles of both city and hiway driving we are averaging 35 mpg :angel:.

Now for the best part........We only paid $25,574.07 for an '08 FEH with only 300 miles (100 of which I did over July 4 ;))!! That includes the 7 year/75,000 mile warranty. I think we got a GREAT DEAL, and we could not be happier!!!!!!

By the way that price was out the door, and the trade in does not qualify for the clunkers program. Even if in clunker condition, so it wasn't worth much.

Is that six '09 FEH? Using my Ford "A" Plan dealer search, can't find one in my area. Using some El Paso zipcodes, can't find any around there either. What dealer had all those? Not too sure if what I'm able to search is a real dealer in stock search anyway.

EDIT:
It appears that the Fod "A' Plan search engine isn't too accurate! I just found a '09 FEH at the dealer I got my '09 FE from by going directly to the dealer's site.

The dealer that has some on the lot in El Paso is called Casa Ford.
Website is www.casaford.com but they do not call them Hybrids on their listings, but you can search for Escapes, and see them.

That was one of the dealers in my "A" plan search that come up with nothing!

I don't know what an "A" plan search is, but I went to the dealer's website directly and searched for Escapes, and they are there. I know they are FEH's because the listed price is like 35k plus, and I went to see them.

It's Ford's employee pricing plan with a website where I'd generate a PIN for a discount for me, family and friends. It's supposed to allow you to search dealer inventory for vehicles.
