used 06 feh question
 

Looking for some opinions, I know very little about the feh, I am looking at a used 06 feh 4x4 80k miles in very good condition. It seems to run well, shuts down to I guess ev/hv mode or just runs off battery and noticed it in this battery mode while maintaining lower speeds. So all seems to run well and just the display computer check option everything says ok. My question is the display fuel milage is only saying 21. Should I be worried about that? It has new tires but they aren't the eco tires and they have a more aggressive tread so that is an obvious mpg killer and maybe prior owners (2) had bad habits which I guess could bring it down that far. Just looking for any thoughts. Thanks

The in dash MPG figures can be reset at any time. If the vehicle is idling indoors with the heat on in an attempt to dry off interior detailing, then the MPG figures are going to take a big hit. You can bargain the price due to your need to obtain more fuel efficient tires.

Yeah, it's best to take a multi-mile trip to get the engine and warmed up, then reset the mileage reading and drive it a few more miles. Only then would I trust that mileage reading.
