Electric Vehicle Forums - Seeking info on the battery charger

I have been looking at the battery charger in the kick panel. I have some questions if anyone has any answers I would love to hear them.

1. 4 wire. does the amperage draw from the 12v thought the button to the HV battery and voltage amplifier? Or does that just trigger the system?

2. If the electric does flow through the button, which wires are from the 12v and which lead to the HV battery?

3. What is the proper step to initiate the charge, key off hit the button?

4. How long does the charger run for and where is charge timer located, in the computer is there a chip in the button?

5. Is there a way to have the charge take place while the truck is running?

I am considering a plan to charge the HV directly from a secondary battery pack. My options here are to connect the batter pack to the 12v battery and allow this to be the part of the draw, however I would rather not use the primary 12v for this (since it would just need to be recharged negating some of the gains.) I would rather interupt the wire, and draw directly off the solar battery bank.
