Replacing brakes on a 2006 FEH?

So I bought a 06(65k miles) FEH 2ish months back and low and behold, right after the 60 day dealer warranty I got a brake light warning. Turns out the tone ring was cracked, this was replaced under 3rd party warranty but the dealer said I got 3mm of brake pad on my fronts and rears. Recently taking on $20000 of medical bills I figured I would take a shot at replacing the brakes myself. I know how to do a standard brake/rotor(if necessary) change but what am I getting into with a Hybrid. I have searched the forums(as well as google) and see people talking about undoing the battery and removing some fuses, but I dont see any specific guide. So please tell me what I am getting into that makes will make this change different than a standard pad change. Thanks for the help all.

Brake job is no different than any non-hybrid. You do need to disconnect the battery or the proper fuse to keep the brakes from accidentally activating. I think the directions are in the owner's manual - in the service manual for sure.

I just bought my parts from Rock Auto. Installation was no big deal. I seem to recall needing a 9mm Allen wrench, which I bought as part of a set at Harbor Freight. Wife just had brakes put on her Taurus for $350 for the fronts and they didn't even use brand name parts.
