Have issues w/3 day old 2005 FEH
 

I just bought my used FEH on Wed 8/15 and already trip-ups. Everyone seems to say good things about this car, but I'm becoming skeptical. It keeps say "Left rear door ajar" when it isn't, the courtesy lights aren't working properly and my alarm sounds whenever it wants to. it went off 3 times today for no reason at all. Anyone else ever have these issues? I'm brining it to the dealer on Tuesday and I'm still under factory warranty, but just wondered if I'm a loner, or if this happens regularly.

Relax Lia, you may have a problem with one of the door switches. Sometimes it's cause by shutting the door on the seatbelt and damage is caused to the switch. When you lock the doors the alarm is set. If the switch is bad, the alarm can sound because the bad switch thinks someone has open the door. Same thing with the interior lights, sometimes the light goes crazy and may stay on or not go on. It's all because of a bad switch or ground at one of the door switches. My guess it is one of the front doors because they are used the most. Look for damage at the rubber gasket on either door from closing the seatbelt on it.

Took it to the dealer today, we'll see what they say. I agree the door thing is what's triggering the rest.
