I have yet to lose off the line in my HCH, but after 30 yards, I'm toast.

^^^ lol. agreed. but I live in an urban area so it's only 40 yards between lights! I am at 1471 miles and I hit 30.4 mpg yesterday! The FEH is peppy enough and I have the 4WD and I am used to driving sports cars.

I drive all different models of the Escape all the time at work.

I can say that the FEH is just as peppy as any V6 Escape I have driven, & will blow away any 4 cylinder Escape.

Does cold affect the MPG? Yes.

Does it make the Hybrid part of the vehicle a hinderence? No way. All vehicles take a hit in performance in poor weather conditions.

As for the acceleration, while it has less power, the zero to 60 times is a second behind the V6, as I recall the materials stating.

Re: Does cold affect FEH?

The FEH is VERY fast from zero to 35 MPH. After that, not outstanding... so you get just an "average" zero to 60 time.

My work has a dirt road that intersects pavement.
I am gentle on the accelerator, and still frequently spin the tires a bit on the dirt.
