Daytime Running Lights
Is that now standard on the "new" 08s? I have an "old" 08, and mine does not have that. However, I recently drove a newer 08 (ie 2 weeks old) and it has daytime running lights. So is that something new or is it a setting I dont know about. If the former, why the heck is Ford changing so many things during a model year? It's really ticking me off about buying my car.

Re: Daytime Running Lights
IN 2005 to 2007 DRL could be set on or off by any qualified dealer. It requires a program change in one of the electronic modules.
So it is an "option" but not "user serviceable". A dealer will probably do it for you at no cost if you have the car in for something else... but will probably charge you something if thats the only reason you take your car in. -John P.S. DRL will cost you 0.5 MPG during city drives, as the power draw will reduce EV time... :( |

I like to control when my lights and other accessories are on/off, so seeking a dealer to enable DRL is not on my list of things to do:P |
