Check Brake System Question
 

Hello,
As I was driving my 2008 FEH (~187,000 miles on it) this morning. my ABS Light came on and the Check Brake System warning came on. I pulled on to the shoulder at this point fearing that I did not have brakes. As I did so, I noticed that I still had regenerative braking, and that I was still able to brake normally. I shut my vehicle off and turned it back on, and the Check Brake System Warning came back on. I redid the brakes Oct. 2018 at roughly 150,000 miles, and had the front passenger side tone ring replaced November of 2017. Any thoughts on what the issue could be with my vehicle?

Collapsing brake lines, take it to Big O or anywhere that doesn't involve stealership. Have them checked.

Do you have an OBD reader installed or have a bad battery? I had a cheapo OBD reader plugged into my car and it would cause the car to turn the ABS light on and disable regenerative braking. Same thing happened to me when I had a bad battery.
