Re: After how many HOURS should you change oil?

I just hit 200 hours on the "Total runtime" clock.
This was only 164.5 hours on the "Engine on" clock.

So I'm going to say my oil has only seen 164.5 hours.

I have traveled 9,800 miles ( 75% Highway ) during that time.

I have gone a little more than 5,000 miles since.
I just hit 100 total hours, and this was 84 engine on hours.

Ford says to change oil every 10,000 miles OR 200 hours.
I'm driving about 75% highway and 25% city.
So I am getting miles faster than hours, but in the city, you can see my engine was off for 16 hours of drive time in about 6 weeks.
Just thought you all might find that interesting.

Re: After how many HOURS should you change oil?

Update:

After 600 hours on my total runtine clock, I have put 489 hours on the gasoline engine. I now change my oil every 200 engine hours.

I do a lot of highway driving, and still, my gas engine was off 18.5 % of the time. ( this does not mean 18.5 % of the miles )
