Electric Vehicle Forums - 2009 Escape MECS part number

On the way home from work yesterday I got the message “PULL OVER SAFELY” and the motor shutting off four times. I was able to turn the ignition off and then restart the car again and get home but I’m tired of dealing with it. After doing research here it looks like the MECS pump is going bad. I went into Oreillys and they couldn't find anything like that. It looks like the part number that everyone is using is 5M6Z-8C419-A. I found this fits up to the 2008 Escape. I have a 2009 Escape Hybrid and not able to find a part number for the MECS. I looked at it and it looks like the modified version so I’m wondering if it was updated for 2009. Can anyone confirm that it’s the same part number or is there a different part number? I called fords parts department and they couldn't find anything. They never heard of a MECS pump. I have an extended warranty with a $100 deductible but I’m thinking I’m almost better off replacing it myself because they want $149 just to run the diagnostic on it and if they don’t find anything then chances are they won’t do anything and I’ll be out the 149 that I could have used to buy the pump. Any help would be great appreciated.
