2006 FEH transmission noise

My 2006 FEH starts to give noise while driving. It sounds like from transfer case. I Made search and found out bearing failure in transfer case is most common.
Can I change only bearing?
Does transmission and transfer case share oil or separated?

If you mean the 4WD transfer case that's NO as it uses the same heavier lifetime lube as the rear end unit.

RE: transfer case lube: its not the same weight as the rear differential.

I suppose its lifetime if you keep it less than 100k. But it's definitely not lifetime if you go over 100k.

The transaxle uses ATF. Same words on lifetime here also.

The transfer case, or power take off unit, does not share oil with the transaxle. As I recall it uses 75W-140 gear lube while the rear differential uses 75W-90.

The Transaxle on the other hand uses ATF.
