2009 Dodge Durango Hybrid Check Engine Light
 

I just bought a 2009 Durango Hybrid with 26,000 miles on it. Last night we took a drive to the grocery store, while I was waiting in the car I heard a ding so I glanced over and noticed the check engine light was illuminated (which it wasn't up until that point). The vehicle is running perfectly fine and I have not yet experienced any troubles with it. I will be taking it to the dealership as soon as they open but was wondering if anyone has experienced this and/or if they knew what was causing this to happen?

Yes I have. Bought mine from dealer new and have been having problems with the hybrid system for years. Contacted dodge and they too don't seem to know how to fix. I also have the check hybrid system light comming on and off and it's effecting the transmission. This is the best ride I've ever owned when it's driving right. Another thread spoke of the lunge and quit problem. This will you in the middle of an intersection if you get this. As of now, no fix.
